Microsoft did not fail to deliver on the goods tonight. Some of the announcements were expected and others were surprising. I checked out the Microsoft conference on Xbox Live, a brand new feature this year. Surprisingly, as opposed to last year, I experienced little to no buffering.

Here is a roundup of some of the announcements featured during Microsoft’s Press Conference at E3 2012

Halo 4 boasted with an awesome gameplay video demonstrating some of the new enemies and gameplay mechanics.

New announcement from Ubisoft came in the form of Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Sam Fischer’s new outing looks absolutely spectacular.

The second big feature was for the Tomb Raider reboot, highlighting some of the new gameplay. Lara Croft looks and moves better than ever! We also learned that Xbox will be getting the DLC first.

Xbox Live launches a new Kinect title which has echoes of Angry Birds, in the form of Wrecketeer. Wrecketeer lets you, by using the Microsoft Kinect, fire special projectiles from a Ballista into towers and various other objects which earn you points.

From Toy Soldiers developer Signal Studios comes a new title called Ascend: New Gods, a gory action-RPG style game that goes big, literally big. It looks to be a 3rd person game in the vein of God of War where you can hack and slash both large and small foes to pieces. I can’t wait to see more from this title.

Microsoft announced it’s new cross-platform product called Xbox Smartglass which will enable users of tablets, smartphones and other devices to seamlessly integrate their Xbox experience. Control your Xbox from the comfort of your couch with your Android, iPhone or Windows Phone.

In addition to Xbox Smartglass, Microsoft also announced Internet Explorer for Xbox, which allows you to surf the web better than before. IE for Xbox is fully featured and even works seamlessly with Xbox Smartglass.

The creators of South Park took to the stage to announce a new South Park game for the Xbox, titled South Park: The Stick of Truth, where you are the newest member in the South Park group and you go on various adventures together, which plays in a very similar fashion to a South Park episode. Obsidian is on board as developers and the game is looking great.

Usher was on stage to help announce the newest entry into the Dance Central franchise, Dance Central 3. The Kinect integration looks better than ever before and it will certainly have fans of the genre buzzing.

Black Ops II finished out the press conference in serious fashion with LA in ruins and the extraction of the President using high tech weaponry. Really impressive gameplay from the new Call of Duty title.

Resident Evil 6 Also took the stage at E3 and it looks to bring the franchise back to life after the rather redunant Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

Forza Horizon also hit the stage at the E3 2012 conference and also looks to be a title that will be a worthwhile venture.

Another fantastic addition to the title line-up was Gears of War: Judgement, which will be landing on your console around 2013.
